The Artex™ MIPS® offers an exceptionally compact, road racing-inspired design. Plus a removable visor and slightly deeper coverage for trails or many miles on varying terrain.
The fit is extremely comfortable and secure, thanks to Giro’s highly adjustable Roc Loc® 5 Air MIPS® system, which gives you a custom fit and added protection from rotational forces in a side impact. The outer shell is made of durable polycarbonate, which is firmly bonded to the EPS inner shell for increased durability and better ventilation thanks to Giro’s In-Mold™ construction.

Technologies
Roc Loc Air
The revolutionary Roc Loc® Air Fit System has the same outstanding features as the Roc Loc® 5, but in addition to that, it dramatically increases airflow and ventilation inside the helmet. The unique design creates a small air cushion between the helmet shell and the head, so that the wind can flow and cool without disturbing the ride without sacrificing fit and comfort. A new level of fit, comfort and ventilation that can only come from Giro.
Wind Tunnel Ventilation
Giro’s helmets are developed utilizing their proprietary Wind Tunnel™ ventilation system. This elaborate design combines active vents in the helmet’s shell with exhaust channels inside the helmet that thrust fresh, cool air over and around the rider’s head while forcing heat and stale air out. It’s the most effective cooling system available, and a difference you can feel every time you ride.
In-Mold Construction
In-Mold Construction fuses a tough polycarbonate outer shell with the helmet’s impact-absorbing foam liner. The fusion process allows for better ventilation systems, making in-mold helmets lighter and cooler than traditional helmets.
MIPS®
All Giro helmets are designed to reduce as much energy as possible while meeting and exceeding stringent safety standards. The goal of Giro’s MIPS®-equipped helmets is to reduce rotational forces. Giro believes that helmets equipped with this technology can reduce the amount of rotational force that may be transferred to rider’s brain in certain impacts.
